PRISON
Crystal

THE

We live in world where mental illness is stigmatized and often misdiagnosed. If left completely ignored or undiagnosed the consequences can be catastrophic and its reach can span generations in a family.

In the Crystal Prison I share personal stories of struggle, strongholds, miracles and recovery.

Years of alcoholism, emotional abuse, broken relationships and poverty became the very catalyst to breaking down the bars once and for all that had jailed me since I was a child. Growing up with a mentally ill mother and a father who enabled and participated in the sickness only perpetuated my downward spiral. Riddled with anger and blame and looking to fill deep voids in my life I had to figure out how to unravel the massive damage or I was going to lose everything. I had reached a breaking point.

We all have problems, habits, addictions or worse that imprison us to some degree. No one escapes childhood and there is always a web or two that we are left to untangle as adults. Only when it becomes a crippling addiction, major health concern or unfathomable consequence are we forced to address it and sadly, even then so many do nothing to heal themselves.

I wish my mother got the help she needed, I wish I didn't have to go through the hell that I did. This book is to let you know you are not alone and that you can change the course of your life through acceptance forgiveness and persistence you current situation is never an indication of how wonderful your life can be
